William Donovan Ard(born March 12, 1959) is an American former professionalfootballplayer who was aguardin theNational Football League(NFL) for theNew York GiantsandGreen Bay Packers.He playedcollege footballatWake Forest Universityand was selected in the eighth round of the1981 NFL draft.He won the Super Bowl with the Giants in 1987.

Ard grew up inWatchung, New Jersey,where he attendedWatchung Hills Regional High School.He lives inWatchung, New Jerseyand works as a financial advisor atMorgan Stanley.Bill's other son, Brendan, broke records at his sport of choice, wrestling.[1][2]
