Bluetownis acensus-designated place(CDP) inCameron County,in theU.S. stateofTexas.The population was 356 at the2010 census.[1]It is part of theBrownsville–HarlingenMetropolitan Statistical Area.
Geography
[edit]Bluetown is in southwestern Cameron County, bordered to the west byIglesia Antiguaand to the south by theRio Grande,which forms theMexico–United States border.U.S. Route 281passes through the community, leading southeastward 26 miles (42 km) toBrownsvilleand west 29 miles (47 km) toHidalgo.La Feriais 6 miles (10 km) to the north.
According to theUnited States Census Bureau,the Bluetown CDP has a total area of 2.4 square miles (6.3 km2), of which 2.4 square miles (6.1 km2) is land and 0.08 square miles (0.2 km2), or 2.72%, is water.[1]
