Robert "Bob" Verbeeck(born 5 August 1960 inTessenderlo) is a retiredBelgianlong-distance runner.[1]He is best known for winning the gold medal in the3000 metresat the1985 European Indoor Championships.In addition, he represented his country at the1984 Summer Olympicsreaching the semifinals of the5000 metres.

He studied economics at theIowa State Universityand nowadays is the CEO of a sports marketing agency, Golazo.[2]
