Bolt Action Fivewere adance-punk/industrialband fromLondon,England,composed of Tobias J Hughes, Ian William Galloway, Holly Murtha and Mark Murphy. They formed in early 2006 from a variety of different members and appeared repeatedly inArtrockerandPlayMusicmagazines, as well as inNME,i-D,Disorder Magazineand various online music journals.

The band seemed to have difficulty describing their sound, variously categorising themselves asindie rock,electro,industrial pop,dance-punk,orelectro-metal.In interviews they listedDevo,Nine Inch Nails,Wire,PrinceandMichael Jacksonas influences.

The band split on 26 March 2008.
