Bombus distinguendus,thegreat yellow bumblebee,is a species ofbumblebeefound inAustria,Belgium,theCzech Republic,Denmark,Finland,France,Germany,Great Britain,Hungary,Ireland,Lithuania,Poland,Romania,Slovakia,Switzerland,northernRussia,[2]andNorth America.[1]

It is an endangered species inIreland.[3][4]In Great Britain, it survives on the far north Highlands coast, Orkney, and the Western Isles.[5]
