TheBoomi River,ananabranchof theBarwon Riverand part of theMacintyrecatchment within theMurray–Darling basin,is located in thenorth–western slopesregion ofNew South Wales,flowing downstream into theSouth Downsregion ofQueensland,Australia.
Course and features
[edit]The river rises about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) east ofGundabloui,and flows generally north–east, joined by five minortributaries,before reaching itsconfluencewith theMacintyre River,about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) north–east ofBoomi.[1]The river descends 40 metres (130 ft) over its 231-kilometre (144 mi)course.[2]
The Boomi River flows past, but not through, the town ofMungindi.
