Boráis amunicipalityin the state ofSão PauloinBrazil.The population is 838 (2020 est.) in an area of 119 km².[3]Theelevationis 582 m. Borá is the least populated municipality in São Paulo and the second least populated in Brazil.[4]Its foundation dates from around 1918, with the merchant Vedovatti family, being formally recognized in 1934, and becoming a municipality in 1965.[5]

In telecommunications, the city was served byCompanhia de Telecomunicações do Estado de São Paulountil 1973, when it began to be served byTelecomunicações de São Paulo.[6]In July 1998, this company was acquired by Telefónica, which adopted theVivobrand in 2012.[7]

The company is currently an operator of cell phones, fixed lines, internet (fiber optics/4G) and television (satellite and cable).[7]

The most diverse evangelical beliefs are present in the city, mainlyPentecostal,including theAssemblies of God in Brazil(the largest evangelical church in the country),[9][10]Christian Congregation in Brazil,[11]among others. These denominations are growing more and more throughout Brazil.
