Boranupis alocalityin theShire of Augusta-Margaret Riverin theSouth Westregion of Western Australia.[3][4]It is the site of a large coastal duneblow outknown as the "Boranup sand patch" as part of the Boranup beach,[5]and the site of a formerM. C. Daviestimber company mill.[6]The sand patch area and sand blows affected the alignment of theBusselton to Flinders Bay railway.

It is akarriforestremnant area[7]in theLeeuwin-Naturaliste National Park,as well as a Western Australian State Forest area.[8][9]

Boranup Forest contains many limestonekarst caves,including Nannup Cave and Dingo Cave.

The Boranup area includes private property, a cafe and a gallery, a maze and a scenic drive.
