Brent Crews(born March 29, 2008) is an American professionaldirt trackandstock car racingdriver. He competes full-time in theSCCA Trans-Am TA2 ProAm Series,driving the No. 70Ford Mustangfor Nitro Motorsports, full-time in theCARS Late Model Stock Tour,driving the No. 29Toyota CamryforKevin Harvick Incorporated,and part-time in theARCA Menards Series,driving the No. 55Toyota CamryforVenturini Motorsports.He is currently a member ofToyota Racing Development's TD2driver development program.

Racing career

Early career

Crews began racing go-karts at theGoPro MotorplexinMooresville, North Carolina,at a young age. In 2016, he competed in theUnited States Pro Kart Series(USPKS) rookie class, winning the championship.[1]Crews would also win a Micro MAXRotax Max Challengerace in Brazil in 2018.[2]He then followed that victory up with a SuperKarts! USA SuperNationals victory in Mini Swift.[3]Then in 2019, Crews won his second straight SuperNationals in the KA100 Junior division.[4]

Midget Cars

Crews made hismidget car racingdebut in 2018, driving in the KKM Giveback Classic, in which he would finish 19th.[5]On March 2, 2021, it was announced that Crews would run full time in thePOWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series,driving the 86Toyotafor CB Industries.[6]He earned his first win of the season at Valley Speedway, becoming the youngest driver to win a POWRi National Midget Series race, at 13 years old.[7]He would also score wins at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, Jacksonville Speedway, and Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex.[8][9][10]

Trans-Am Series

In 2022, Crews would join Nitro Motorsports to run a full season in theSCCA Trans-Am TA2 ProAm Series.He scored his first career win late in the season atRoad America,becoming the youngest driver to win aTrans-Am Seriesrace, at 14 years, 3 months, and 4 days.[11]He would also score wins at theMusic City Grand PrixandVirginia International Raceway,and finishing 3rd in the final standings.[12][13]He returned to Nitro for the 2023 season, scoring wins atNOLA Motorsports Park,theDetroit Street Circuit,Road America, andWatkins Glen.[14][15][16][17]He clinched the 2023 championship after finishing fourth atCircuit of the Americas,becoming the youngest champion in TA2 history.[18]

Late models

Crews would make hislate model racingdebut in theCARS Pro Late Model Tourin 2022, driving the No. 24Toyota Camryfor Donnie Wilson Motorsports atCaraway Speedway.He would start 8th and finish 14th after experiencing a clutch issue. He ran two more races atMotor MileandSouth Boston,finishing 8th and 12th, respectively. On February 14, 2023, it was announced that Crews would compete in six races of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing atNew Smyrna Speedway.Crews finished 4th in the point standings after earning four top fives and five top tens.[19]

ARCA Menards Series

On August 10, 2023, it was announced that Crews will make hisARCA Menards Seriesdebut atWatkins Glen International,driving the No. 25ToyotaforVenturini Motorsports.[20][21]Crews would finish third after running inside the top five in the entire race. He made his second start of the season at theIllinois State Fairgrounds Racetrack,where he would go on to dominate, leading the most laps and winning the race, becoming the second-youngest driver to win in ARCA.[22]
