Brit Awards 1988was the eighth edition of theBrit Awards,an annualpop musicawards ceremony in theUnited Kingdom.It was organised by theBritish Phonographic Industryand took place on 8 February 1988 atRoyal Albert HallinLondon.This year marked the first presentation of the now-defunctInternational Breakthrough Actaward.

The awards ceremony, hosted byNoel Edmonds,was televised by the BBC.[1]
