Bulgarian Rhapsody(Bulgarian:Българска рапсодия) is a 2014 Bulgarian-Israelidrama filmdirected byIvan Nitchev.It was selected as the Bulgarian entry for theBest Foreign Language Filmat the87th Academy Awards,but was not nominated.[1]There was some controversy in the selection due to Nitchev's involvement with the Bulgarian National Film Council.[2]
The film is part of a historic trilogy aboutBulgarian Judaism,which consists of the films:After the End of the World(1999) andJourney to Jerusalem(2003).
