Burabay(Kazakh:Бурабай), formerlyBorovoye,is a settlement inBurabay District,Akmola Region,Kazakhstan.It is the administrative center of the Burabay rural district (KATO code - 117035100).[1]Population: 4,225 (2009 Census results);[2]5,523 (1999 Census results).[2][3]
Burabay is aspa town.The surrounding area is part of theBurabay National Park.
Geography
[edit]Burabay lies in theKokshetau Massif,part of theKokshetau Hillsof theKazakh Uplands.The town is located in the strip of land between lakesBurabayandUlken Shabakty.[4][5]
