Burjuc(Hungarian:Burzsuk) is acommuneinHunedoara County,Romania.It is composed of six villages: Brădățel (Bradacel), Burjuc, Glodghilești (Glodgilesd), Petrești (Petresd), Tătărăști (Tataresd), and Tisa (Tisza).
The commune lies on the banks of theMureș Riverand its right tributary, the riverZam.It is located in the northwestern part of Hunedoara County, 41 km (25 mi) west of the county seat,Deva,near the border withTimiș County.
Burjuc is crossed by thenational roadDN7,part ofEuropean route E68.The train station serves theCFRLine 200,which runs fromBrașovtoTimișoaraand on to theHungarian border.
