Microtubule minus-end binding human protein
Calmodulin-regulated spectrin-associated protein 1 (CAMSAP1) is a humanprotein encoded by thegene CAMSAP1. Like other CAMSAP-family proteins, it is amicrotubule minus-end anchor, and binds microtubules through itsCKK domain .[ 4]
Clinical significance [ edit ]
CAMSAP1 is vital forneuron polarisation, and so mice that lack CAMSAP1 die ofepileptic seizures .[ 5]
