Cameron Hannaford Christie(born July 24, 2005) is an Americanbasketballplayer for theLos Angeles Clippersof theNational Basketball Association(NBA). He playedcollege basketballfor theMinnesota Golden Gophers.
Early life and high school career[edit]
Christie grew up inArlington Heights, Illinoisand attendedRolling Meadows High School.[1]He averaged 22 points, four rebounds, and three assists per game as a junior.[2]Christie was rated a three-starrecruitand committed to playing college basketball forMinnesotaover offers fromMichigan State,USC,Virginia,Missouri,Ohio State,Illinois,Northwestern,andIowa State.[3]
College career[edit]
Christie began his freshman season as a key reserve at guard.[4]He made his college debut in the second game of the season againstUTSAand scored 18 points in a 102–76 win.[5]Christie made his first career start againstNebraskaon December 6, 2023, and scored nine points with three rebounds in a 76–65 win.[6]He was named to theBig Ten ConferenceAll-Freshman team at the end of the regular season.[7]Following the end of the season, Christie declared for the2024 NBA draft.[8]

On June 27, 2024, Christie was selected with the 46th overall pick by theLos Angeles Clippersin the2024 NBA draft[9]and on July 5, he signed with them.[10]
