Overview

[edit]

The Carbon 15 line[2][3]is closely based on theColt AR-15design. They are distinguished by theircarbon fiberconstruction, which provides an extremely lightweight frame. The Carbon 15 line are generally chambered in5.56×45mm NATO/.223 Remington,[4]however, there are also9×19mm Parabellumversions of the pistol and carbine.[citation needed]

In early 2009, Bushmaster began to include the dust cover and forward assist in their Carbon-15 M4 rifles.[citation needed]
