Carr Mill railway stationwas on theLancashire Union Railwayin the Carr Mill area ofSt Helens,England. It opened on 1 January 1896 and closed on 1 January 1917.[2] Proposals to construct a new station to serve the expanding population have been suggested by Merseytravel but funding has yet to arrive.[1]A new proposal to open a station was raised byMetro Mayor of the Liverpool City RegionSteve Rotheramas part of his re-election plans in January 2020.[3]The proposal was again raised as part of his re-election plans in 2024, with the new railway station being a priority along with new stations atDaresburyandWoodchurch.[4]
