Chadrac Akolo Ababa(born 1 April 1995) is a Congolese professionalfootballerwho plays asmidfielderforSwiss Super LeagueclubSt. Gallenand theDR Congo national team.[2]
Early life and childhood[edit]
Born in theDR Congo,Akolo left the country with his family due to the political upheaval there and journeyed across theMediterranean,arriving in Switzerland at age 14.[3]It was there he caught the eye ofFC Sionof theSwiss Super League.[3]
Club career[edit]
On 1 February 2016,Kinshasa-born Akolo joinedNeuchâtel Xamaxon loan until the end of the 2015–16 season.[4]
On 9 July 2017, Akolo signed a four-year deal withVfB Stuttgart.[5]
In July 2019, he moved toAmiens SC.[6]
He joinedSC Paderbornon loan until the end of the season in February 2021.[7]
On 3 July 2022, Akolo moved toSt. Gallenin Switzerland on a two-year contract.[8]
International career[edit]
Akolo made his debut for theDR Congo national teamin a 2–22018 FIFA World Cup qualificationtie withTunisiaon 5 September 2017.[9]
