ChecacupeorCh'iqa Kupi(Aymarach'iqaleft,kupiright,[1][2]"left right" ) is one of eightdistrictsof theCanchis Provincein theCusco RegioninPeru.[3]

Geography[edit]

TheWillkanutamountain range traverses the district. Some of the highest peaks of the district are listed below:[4]

The most important rivers of the district are theWillkanutaRiver andCh'illkamayu,one of its right tributaries.[5]

Ethnic groups[edit]

The people in the district are mainlyindigenouscitizens ofQuechuadescent.Quechuais the language which the majority of the population (82.89%) learnt to speak in childhood, 17.09% of the residents started speaking using theSpanishlanguage (2007 Peru Census).[6]
