Chelae (Bithynia)
ChelaeorChelai(Ancient Greek:Χῆλαι) was a coastal town ofancient Bithynialocated on thePontus Euxinus.It appears in theTabula Peutingeriana,and in thePeriplus Ponti Euxiniwritten byArrian,who places it 20stadiaeast ofThyniasand 180 west of the mouth of theSangarius River.
Its site is located nearCebiceinAsiatic Turkey.[1][2]
