TheCherchenay(Adyghe:Чэрчэнай,romanized:Çərçənay) were one of theCircassiantribes. They were destroyed in theRusso-Circassian War.[1]
Area[edit]
According to Walter Richmond, they lived in the inner parts of WesternCircassia,near theChemirgoys.[1]
