Chihrdad

Čihrdād nask[pronunciation?]is one of the lostnasks (books) of theAvestaand survives only as a summary preserved inDēnkard8.13.[1]

In the summary, the text is said to have been a history of mankind from the beginning down to the revelation ofZoroaster,[2]and it was an important source for later works like theŠāhnāmehofFerdowsi.
