Beginnings[edit]

In April 1999, Wolf began appearing as a head nurse to tend toRic Flairwhen he was (in storyline) put into a mental institution. She then appeared in severalvignetteswith him before becoming hisvaletupon his return to WCW.[1]On the May 3, 1999 episode ofNitro, the Head Nurse accompanied Flair to the ring as he then called out"Macho Man" Randy Savage, whom he was feuding with.[1]When Savage and his own valet,Gorgeous George, came out to the ring, Flair called security on Savage, resulting in George being choked out by the Head Nurse.[1]

The nurse was introduced as Double D when she, along with Ric Flair,Arn Anderson, andSamantha, accompanied Flair's sonDavidto hisUnited States Heavyweight Championshipcontest againstDean Malenkoat theBash at the Beach.[1]During the match, Double D confronted Anderson, who got into the ring. Malenko intervened[1]and, hesitating to hit a woman, instead locked her into hiscloverleafsubmission hold. Ric Flair took the opportunity to hit Malenko with the U.S. title belt to allow David to pin Malenko to retain the title.[1]

The Revolution[edit]

On October 25 atHalloween Havoc,The Filthy Animalsshowed a video of them kidnapping Ric Flair and leaving him in the desert.[1]After the video, they were attacked in the ring byPerry Saturnand Dean Malenko, who were members of theRevolution.[1]The Animals' manager, Torrie Wilson, was kidnapped by Double D, who was introduced as Asya, the newest member of the Revolution.[1][5]The name change was in reference toChyna, who competed for WCW's rival theWorld Wrestling Federation,as well as implying that Asya was superior to Chyna since "Asia"is bigger than"China".[1]Later on in the show, when the Filthy Animals attacked Malenko during a match againstChris Benoit, the Revolution used Torrie to blackmail the Animals into retreating.[1]

On the November 8 episode ofNitro,Asya made her in-ring debut as she and Malenko defeatedRey Mysterio Jr.and Torrie Wilson in a mixed tag team match.[1][6]Three days later, onThunder, the Revolution interfered in a match betweenSidand Perry Saturn before being taken down by Sid.[1]Asya stood up to Sid, who attempted topowerbombher but was attacked byRick Steiner.[1]The following week onNitro,Asya defeatedKimberly Pageby disqualification with rival Torrie Wilson as guest referee.[1]Post-match, Asya confronted Torrie only to be slapped by her. Asya responded by throwing her out of the ring.[1]Page then tried to help Torrie by jumping on Asya's back to apply asleeper holdonly for Asya tosnapmareher down.[1]Later on in the show, Kimberly attempted to choke Asya out with her belt, leading to Asya's former ally David Flair coming out with a crowbar in hand to ward off Kimberly.[1]In a twist, Asya hit David with asidewalk slambefore trying to hit him with his own crowbar.[1]Flair recovered and thensuplexedher before hitting Revolution memberShane Douglaswith his crowbar before leaving the ring.[1]

The feud between the Filthy Animals and the Revolution concluded on November 21 at theMayhempay-per-view as Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, and Asya defeatedEddie Guerrero,Billy Kidman, and Torrie Wilson in anelimination match, although Asya was the third competitor eliminated from the match.[1][6]

Face Turn[edit]

Following the feud with the Filthy Animals, Asya began a string of several short-lived feuds.[1]On the December 6 episode ofNitro, she wrestled fellow bodybuilder-turned-wrestlerMidnightto a no contest.[1][6]Following the match, Asya attacked Midnight until the Revolution came out and attacked Midnight with their flag.[1]Three days later onThunder,Asya fought"Hacksaw" Jim Dugganto a no contest.[1][6]Asya finished her feud with Midnight as she, Saturn and Malenko defeated Midnight andHarlem Heatthe following week onNitro.[1][6]AtStarrcade,the Revolution (Shane Douglas,Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, and Asya) defeated Jim Duggan and the newly reunitedVarsity Club(Kevin Sullivan,Rick Steiner, andMike Rotunda) after the Club turned on Duggan during the match.[1][6]On the December 23 episode ofThunder,Asya, Saturn, and Malenko lost to Billy Kidman, Eddie Guerrero and Jim Duggan.[1][6]

On the January 6, 2000 episode ofThunder,Asya became the second woman to challenge for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship facing then championMadusabut lost after the Revolution turned on her.[1][6]Asya then feuded with the Revolution during house shows, teaming up withChavo Guerrero Jr.against Malenko and Saturn, losing to them twice before defeating them twice to end the feud.[6]

On January 10,Oklahomamademisogynisticcomments before saying that he could beat any woman in the ring and that he would go on to beat Cruiserweight Champion Madusa.[1]In response, Asya came out to the ring and gave Oklahoma a beating before Madusa came out.[1]Six days later atSouled Out,Asya and formerNitro GirlSpiceattacked Oklahoma during his title match with Madusa. Oklahoma managed toroll upMadusa for the win but after the match, Asya and Madusa poured barbecue sauce over him.[1]

After this, Asya began making sporadic appearances. On the April 15 episode ofWorldWide,Asya lost toMonavia disqualification after Little Genie interfered.[1]Post-match, both Asya and Genie attacked Mona before being pulled off by referees.[1]On the May 3 episode ofThunder, both Mona and Asya were the only females in a battle royal betweenthe Millionaire's Clubandthe New Bloodto determine a contender for theWorld Heavyweight Championship, but they were both eliminated early on.[1][6]

Alliance with Dale Torborg[edit]

On the June 14 episode ofThunder,Asya returned to WCW television disguised as aStingfan at ringside.[1]WhenVampirotold her to remove her mask, she responded byspitting a red liquidinto his face.[1]Vampiro's opponent,The Demon(Dale Torborg), then appeared in the ring and the announcers revealed that The Demon and Asya werelegitengaged.[1]After Vampiro defeated the Demon, Asya tried to help her fiancé but received aNail in the Coffinfrom Vampiro.[1]The Demon chased Vampiro away before tending to Asya in the ring[1]and later retired his Demon gimmick.[1]Five days later onNitro,Vampiro called out Torborg and asked him "don't you have something missing in your life?", leaving Torborg puzzled by the question before the lights went out.[1]Asya, who had accompanied Torborg, disappeared, prompting Torborg to go after Vampiro. The lights went out again and Vampiro also disappeared, escaping in a black hearse.[1]On the June 21 episode ofThunder,Torborg attacked Vampiro, demanding to know where Asya was.[1]Instead, Vampiro told him he would never know unless he became the Demon again. Torborg then followed Vampiro to a gravesite that Vampiro said Asya was in there.[1]Vampiro hit Torborg with a shovel before getting Asya out of the trunk of his hearse.[1]

On the June 28 episode ofThunder,Vampiro came out proclaiming to have gotten rid ofSting, whom he was also feuding with, as well as Torborg and Asya.[1]During hispromo, the lights went out and Asya appeared in the ring beforespitting a red liquidin his face as she did weeks prior.[1]Torborg then attacked Vampiro with abaseball batas the lights went out again and both Asya and Torborg were gone.[1]The following week onNitro,Asya was injured (in storyline) by an explosion during her entrance to the ring. Torborg wanted to tend to Asya in the hospital when a hooded figure (later revealed as Vampiro) handed him the Demon costume.[1]
