Claverack Creek[1]is a 17.5-mile-long (28.2 km)[2]tributary toStockport CreekinColumbia County, New York,in the United States. Its source is in the town ofClaverackat the hamlet of Mellenville, and its mouth is at its confluence withKinderhook Creekto form Stockport Creek, in the town ofStockport.

The lower Claverack Creek was known asTwastawekak(To-was-ta-we-kakorTwastaweekak) by the Native AmericanMahicantribe,[3]while the upper creek was namedSka-an-kookorSkaanpook.[4]
