Coenraad Lodewyk Breytenbach(born 10 November 1970) is a South African formerrugby unionandrugby leaguefootballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. He representedSouth Africaatrugby leaguein the2000 Rugby League World CupandRussiainrugby union.

Playing career[edit]

Breytenbach playedrugby unionfor the Northern TransvaalBlue Bullsand was tipped to eventually play for theSouth Africa(RU).[2]

Between1996and1998Breytenbach played for theNorthern Transvaal Bullsin theSuper 12competition.

In 2000, Breytenbach was part of theSouth Africansquad at theRugby League World Cup.He played in one match at five eighth, scoring a try againstTonga.[3]

In 2001 Breytenbach played for theBlue Bullsin theCurrie Cup.[4]

In 2002 he played in aEuropean Nations Cupmatch forRussia(RU) againstGeorgiaalong with two other South African born players, sparking a protest from Georgia.[2][5]
