Courtland Milloyis an American columnist and former reporter forThe Washington Post.He joined thePostin 1975 after working at theMiami Herald.[1]

He is one of the journalists interviewed in the documentary filmThe Newspaperman.Milloy is known for covering the Washington D.C. area'sAfrican-Americancommunity and highlighting issues in less affluent areas ofWashington, D.C.[2]He is a critic ofgentrificationand urban cyclists. Milloy hosted theBETshowFor Black Men Onlyin 1992.

A former critic ofTwitter,he later began tweeting.[3]Milloy has been critical of cyclists and has drawn their protests with his columns.[4][5]

He was a critic of theWashington Redskinsteam name[6]and has written on issues includingpanhandling,recovery from drug addiction,reparations,and traffic fines. He was critical of the filmPrecious.

On Dec. 19, 2023, Milloy published his farewell column.[7]
