The airport serves both Suka Makmue, the capital of theNagan Raya RegencyandMeulaboh,the capital ofWest Aceh Regency.
Name[edit]
The airport is named afterCut Nyak Dhien(1848–1908), the woman who led the Acehnese guerrilla forces during theAceh Waragainst theDutchfor 25 years, and was awarded the title ofNational Hero of Indonesiain 1964.
