Cuvetteis adepartmentof theRepublic of the Congoin the central part of the country. It borders the departments ofCuvette-Ouest,Likouala,Plateaux,andSangha,and internationally, theDemocratic Republic of the Congo.The capital isOwando.Cities and towns includeBoundji,MakouaandOkoyo.
