D110is the main state road on the islands ofPašmanandUgljaninCroatia, connecting the towns ofPrekoandTkon. From these two townsJadrolinijaferries cross to the mainland, docking inZadarand joining theD407state road (from Preko) andBiograd na Moruand theD503state road (from Tkon).[1]The road is 41.6 km (25.8 mi) long.[2]The two islands are connected via theŽdrelac Bridge, spanningMali Ždrelacstrait.[3][4]

The road, as well as all other state roads in Croatia, is managed and maintained byHrvatske ceste,a state-owned company.[5]

Traffic volume

[edit]

Traffic is regularly counted and reported byHrvatske ceste(HC), operator of the road. Furthermore, the HC reports the number of vehicles using the Split – Supetar and Makarska – Sumartin ferry lines, connecting the D113 road to theD410and theD411state roads.[6]Substantial variations between annual (AADT) and summer (ASDT) traffic volumes are attributed to the fact that the road connects a number of island resorts.
