Parejo was given the squad number 17, which had previously been assigned toRuud van Nistelrooy, who was also out for several months due to a serious injury. He appeared little during the season, his first match being the 4–0La Ligaaway victory overSporting de Gijónon 15 February as he replacedSergio Ramosfor the final ten minutes.[10]
