David Eduardo Achucarro Trinidad(born 5 January 1991) is an Argentine professionalfootballerwho plays as acentre-backforNueva Chicago.[1]

Club career

Achucarro started out in the system ofBoca Juniors,where he played at the2011 U-20 Copa Libertadores.[1][3]He made two appearances in the2009–10season, againstArsenal de SarandíandBanfieldrespectively which were his only matches in thePrimera División;though he did feature in theCopa Argentinain March 2012 versusCentral Córdoba.[1]Four months later, Achucarro was loaned toDouglas Haig.[1]Twenty-eight games and one goal, againstCrucero del Norte,came inPrimera B Nacional.[1]He returned totier onewithGodoy Cruzin 2013, prior to securing loans toOlimpoandFerro Carril Oeste.[4]

2016 saw Achucarro depart Boca Juniors permanently to sign withTalleres.[1]Eleven appearances followed in the2016 Primera B Nacional,which the club finished as champions to therefore win promotion to the Primera División.[1]He subsequently left on 20 July 2016, joining top-flightTemperley.[1][5]However, despite remaining for almost thirteen months, Achucarro didn't feature in any competitive fixture for the club.[1]A return to Primera B Nacional was completed in August 2017, with the defender agreeing a move toNueva Chicago.[1]He made his debut on 2 October in a 2–0 win overAll Boysat theEstadio Nueva Chicago.[1]

On 11 June 2019, following two campaigns with Nueva Chicago, Achucarro went abroad for the first time after penning terms withCategoría Primera AsideCúcuta Deportivo.[6]His bow for the Colombian outfit arrived on 15 July, playing for the full duration of a 1–3 win overRionegro Águilas.[1]He appeared nineteen times, prior to departing due to lack of payment.[1][7]In January 2020, Achucarro switched Colombia for Chile as he signed forDeportes La Serena.[1][8]Despite joining ahead of the2020season, Achucarro appeared in the2019play-offs which took place in January; as they won a spot in thePrimera División.[1]

International career

Achucarro represented Argentina'sU20sat the2011 Pan American Games,appearing in three fixtures as they finished with the silver medal.[1]He had previously been called up for the2009 Toulon Tournament.[9][10]
