Demetri Goritsas
Demetri Goritsasis an American actor. He is best known for his roles as Ethan in theSky Onetelevision seriesBaddiel's Syndromeand Max Cain in thepsychological thrillertelevision seriesModus.
He is also best known for his film roles as Parker in the 1998 filmSaving Private Ryan(1998),[1]Dr. Perkins in the 2019 filmRadioactive(2019)[2]and as Stuart Hutchinson in the 2015 filmEverest(2015).[3]
Career
[edit]In 1994, Goritsas made his film debut as a minor character in the drama filmLittle Women,featuringWinona Ryder,Christian BaleandSusan Sarandon.He also appeared as the character Slim Jim Man in theSlim Jimbeef jerky commercials in the late 1990s.[4]
He played alongsideJeremy IronsinGallipoliin 2005 and appeared in theTorchwoodseries as the father of Jack Harkness. He has also dubbed video games likeDRIV3R,Killzone 2,Driver: San Franciscoand007 Legends.
Goritsas appeared as Levene in the 2011 superhero filmX-Men: First Class,featuringHugh Jackman,James McAvoy,Michael Fassbender,Kevin BaconandNicholas Hoult.[5]He appeared as Parker in the 1998Steven SpielbergfilmSaving Private Ryan,featuringTom Hanks,Tom Sizemore,Edward BurnsandMatt Damon.
He appeared in films such asSky Captain and the World of Tomorrow,A Mighty Heart,Darkest Hour,National Treasure: Book of Secrets,The Road to Guantanamo,The Catcher Was a SpyandThunderbirds.

In 2020, he appeared as Bernie Peterson in theTNToriginal drama seriesThe Alienist's second season,The Alienist: Angel of Darkness.[6]
Goritsas played actorRoy ScheiderinThe Shark is Broken,Ian ShawandJoseph Nixon's stage play about the making of the motion pictureJaws(1975).The Shark is Brokenwas staged at theEdinburgh Festival Fringein August 2019, starring Ian Shaw asRobert Shaw,Liam Murray Scott asRichard Dreyfuss,and Duncan Henderson as Roy Scheider. Goritsas replaced Henderson in the role of Scheider for the played successful run at London'sWest Endfrom October 2021-January 2022. "The Shark is Broken" transferred to theRoyal Alexandra Theatrefor a run from September–November 2022.
