Detlef Ultsch(born 7 November 1955) is anEast Germanformerjudoka.

Ultsch was born inSonneberg,Bezirk Suhl.Ultsch is the firstGermanjudoworld championand became a double world middleweight champion, winning the title inParis 1979andMoscow 1983.[1]He also competed at the1976 Summer Olympicsand the1980 Summer Olympics.[2]
