Dicastery

Adicastery(/dɪˈkæstəri/;fromGreek:δικαστήριον,romanized:dikastērion,lit.'law-court', fromδικαστής,'judge, juror') is the name of some departments in theRoman Curiaof theCatholic Church.

Pastor bonus(1988) includes this definition:

By the word "dicasteries" are understood theSecretariat of State,Congregations, Tribunals, Councils and Offices, namely, theApostolic Camera,theAdministration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic Seeand thePrefecture for the Economic Affairs of the Holy See.[1]

Praedicate evangelium

Under the new structure of theRoman Curiacreated byPraedicate evangelium(effectivesince 5 June 2022), the formercongregationsandpontifical councilsare replaced with dicasteries.
