In February 2024, it was announced that an adaptation of the 1897 novelDraculabyBram Stokerwas in development, withLuc Bessondirecting and writing the screenplay.Caleb Landry JonesandChristoph Waltzjoined the cast in lead roles.^[2]

Filming[edit]

According toCollider,theprincipal photographybegan on March 27, 2024, inLapland.^[3]However,Helsingin Sanomatreports that Besson is actually shooting the film in theKainuu regioninstead of Lapland. The reason for the shooting location has been reported to be the area's snowy landscapes.^[4]
