Duane Ackerson(October 17, 1942 – April 19, 2020)[1]was anAmerican writerofspeculative poetryandfiction.[2]
Не taught at theUniversity of Oregon,then headed the creative program atIdaho State University.He lived inSalem, Oregon,where he died on April 19, 2020.[3]
Duane Ackerson's work has appeared inanthologiesthat includeThe Year's Best SF 1974,100 Great Science Fiction Short Short Stories,Future Pastimes,and the textbookWriting Poetry.He has won theRhysling Awardfor Best Short Poem twice, in 1978 and 1979.
Ackerson's poems are translated into Russian byDmitry Kuzmin.[4]
