TheEl-Infitah Movement(French:Mouvement El Infitah;Arabic:حركة الإنفتاح;lit.'Opening Movement')[1]is a minorpolitical partyinAlgeria,led by Naima Farhi.

History and profile

The party was established as the Algerian National Youth Movement in 1997.[1]It was renamed as El Infitah before the2007 elections.[1]It has a nationalist and progressive political leaning.[1]Its president is Omar Bouacha[1]and the secretary general isNaima Farhi.

In the 17 May 2007People's National Assemblyelections, the party won 3 out of 389 seats.[2]
