Buderimis anelectoral districtof theLegislative Assemblyin the Australian state ofQueensland.Based on theSunshine Coast,the district is a traditionally safe seat for theLiberal National Party.[1]
Geography[edit]
A compact urban electorate, Buderim falls between the centres ofMaroochydoreandNambour,bounded by theBruce Highwayto the west, and theSunshine Motorwayto the east. It includes the Sunshine Coast suburbs ofBuderim,Mountain Creek,Sippy DownsandTanawha.
History[edit]
A new district created for the2009 state election,it was constructed mostly from the northern part of the district ofKawanaand the western part of the district ofMaroochydore.It also took a section of territory previously belonging to the district ofNicklin.[2]Its inaugural member wasSteve Dickson,previously the member for Kawana.
