Kiama is anelectoral districtof theLegislative Assemblyin the Australian state ofNew South Wales.It is currently represented byGareth Ward.Originally elected as a member of theLiberal Party,Ward stood down from the party in May 2021 following allegations of sexual misconduct.

The electorate is named after and includes theMunicipality of Kiama.It also includes the southern part of theCity of Shellharbour(including the suburbs ofAlbion Parkand the western part ofAlbion Park Rail) and the part of theCity of Shoalhavento the north of theShoalhavenriver (includingBomaderryandBerry). It includes a thinly populated area to the west ofNowrasouth of the Shoalhaven. It also includesMarshall Mountin theCity of Wollongong.

History[edit]

Kiama was created in 1859. It was abolished in 1904 with the downsizing of parliament afterfederationand replaced byAllowrie.[1][2]It was recreated in 1981, replacing parts ofIllawarraandSouth Coast.
