Club career[edit]
Elif Şahin is1.89 m (6 ft2+1⁄2in) tall at 68 kg (150 lb), and plays in the Setter position. She started her sport career in the academy of Karayolları SK in her hometownAnkarain the2017–18 season.[1]She won the Turkish runner-up title with the youth team in the 2017-19season.[1][2]
She joinedIstanbul-basedEczacıbaşı Dynavitin the2020–21 Turkish Women's Volleyball League.The same season, she won the 2020 AXA Sigorta Champions Cup.[2][3]She took the bronze medal at the2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World ChampionshipinAntalya,Turkey.[4]
International career[edit]
Şahin was admitted to the Turkey women's national U-18 team. She was part of the team, which placed fourth at the2017 FIVB Girls' U18 World Championshipin Argentina.[2][5]
The next year, she played at the2018 Women's U19 European Championshipin Albania with theTurkey women's U-19 team,which finished fourth.[2][6]She took the silver nedal with the U-19 team at the 2018 Balkan Volleyball Championship Women's U19.[2][7]
She is a member of theTurkey national team.[8]She was part of the national team, which placed fourth at the2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations LeagueinNanjing,China. Her team finished the2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championshipheld inPolandand theNetherlandson place eight. She became gold medalist at the2023 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations LeagueinArlington, Texas,United States.[9]

Elif Şahin was born in Ankara, Turkey on 19 January 2001.[2][10]She has two sisters. Her two-years older sisterSalihais also a professional volleyball player in the Outside Hitter position, who played in the same club as her.[10][11][8]
