Eshkik(Persian:اشكيك)[a]is a village in, and the capital of,Eshkik Rural District[b]ofChukam District,Khomam County,Gilanprovince,Iran.[4]The previous capital of the rural district was the village ofBala Mahalleh-ye Chukam,[5]now the city ofChukam.[6]
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,905 in 528 households, when it was in the formerKhomam DistrictofRasht County.[7]The following census in 2011 counted 1,505 people in 491 households.[8]The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 1,451 people in 502 households.[2]
In 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Khomam County, and the rural district was transferred to the new Chukam District.[4]
