The254 Seriesis ameter gaugefreightdiesel locomotivebuilt forFerrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya(FGC).

Three locomotives were built in 1990 byMeinfesa,at the same time as theRENFE Class 319.2[1]with which it shares a similar external appearance, as well as both havingGM-EMDengines and transmissions.

The locomotive is used forpotashand salt trains, and occasional special historical passenger trains, on theLlobregat–Anoia Line.[2]
