Fenmetramideis adrugwhich was patented as anantidepressantbyMcNeil Laboratoriesin the 1960s.[1]The drug was never marketed.[2]It is the 5-ketonederivativeofphenmetrazineand would similarly be expected to producepsychostimulanteffects, thoughpharmacologicaldata is lacking.
