Club career
[edit]In January 2017 it was confirmed that Burns would leaveSouthend Unitedto joinManchester Cityfor a reported fee of £175,000.[2]On 21 September 2021 he made his professional debut when he was named in the starting line up for Manchester City'sEFL Cup6-1 win againstWycombe Wanderers.[3]
On 30 January 2022, Burns joinedEFL ChampionshipsideSwansea Cityon loan for the remainder of the 2021–22 season.[4] Burns made hisEFL Championshipdebut on 13 February 2022.
On 1 August 2023, Burns signed forLeague OneclubStevenageon a season-long loan deal.[5]
