The Embarcadero and Folsom station(often simplyFolsom) is aMuni Metrolight railstation located in the median ofThe Embarcaderobetween Folsom Street and Harrison Street in the Rincon Hill area ofSan Francisco, California.Muni Metro trains use a high-levelisland platform,while historic streetcars use a pair ofside platforms(The Embarcadero and Harrison) at the southeast end of the station next to the Harrison Street grade crossing.

The station opened on January 10, 1998, as part of the Muni Metro Extension project.[1][2]It was initially served by a temporary E Embarcadero line betweenEmbarcadero stationand4th and King/Caltrain station.N Judahservice replaced the shuttle service on August 22, 1998.[1]T Third Streetservice began on April 7, 2007; N Judah service was initially cut back to Embarcadero station, withJ Churchservice added at peak hours.[3][4]On June 30, 2007, the J and N were restored to their previous configuration.[5]E Embarcaderoheritage streetcar service was added on August 1, 2015.[6]

The station is served by theN BusandN Owlbus routes, which provide service along the T Third Street line during the early morning and late night hours respectively when trains do not operate.[7]
