Denise Francine Boyd Andrews(October 15, 1956 – May 3, 2022) was an American drug counsellor and actress.[1]

Boyd was born on October 15, 1956, inBaltimore,Maryland.

Career[edit]

Her story was chronicled inThe Corner: a Year in the Life of an Inner-city Neighbourhood,a book byDavid SimonandEd Burns,which was adapted into anHBO miniseries.[1]Her son, DeAndre McCullough, died at the age of 35.[2]Boyd was an actress, known forThe Wire(2002) andThe Corner(2000).[3]
