GIET UniversityformerlyGandhi Institute of Engineering and Technologyis a university located atGunupur,in the state ofOdisha,Indiaestablished in 1997 by“Vidya Bharati Educational Trust''.[1]The Odisha government issued a gazette notification for award of the university status to GIET Gunupur in December 2018.[2]"About GIETU".
GIET University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in various fields of engineering, technology, management, and computer applications.[citation needed][3]
Managing trustee
[edit]Edu-entrepreneur Dr. Satya Prakash Panda (President)[4]andDr. Chandra Dhwaj Panda(Vice-President)[5]founded a trust calledVidya Bharati Education Trustwhich is a non-governmental organization, established in the year 1996. The Vidya Bharti Education Trust is a conglomerate of educational institutions.[6]

Tech, B.SC Agriculture, B.Sc in Nursing, 3 years BBA, BCA and 2 years M.Sc, M.Tech programme in various disciplines:[14]GIET University offers some of the most sought-after programmes including 14undergraduatesand 20postgraduateprogrammes. In addition toundergraduateandpostgraduatecourses, GIETU also offers full-time and part timePh.D. degreesin Engineering, Natural Sciences and Management disciplines.
NIRF Rankings
[edit]GIET University, Gunupur, was ranked in the 251-300 band in the NIRF 2022 rankings for Engineering. It did not participate in the 2023 NIRF rankings.[15]
