GTransis a municipal transit agency that servesGardena, Californiaand surrounding Los Angeles County neighbourhoods. It was founded on January 15, 1940, asGardena Municipal Bus Lines.On the agency's 75th anniversary, the agency was renamed as GTrans.[4]The bus lines complement theLos Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority's crosstown routes through the city.[1]In 2023, the system had a ridership of 2,131,500, or about 9,000 per weekday as of the second quarter of 2024.

As of June 2024, GTrans operates 3 local routes, 2 express routes, 2 school tripper routes and 1 seasonal route. Weekend service is provided onNew Year's Day,Martin Luther King, Jr. Day,Memorial Day,Independence Day,Labor Day,Thanksgiving Day,andChristmas Day.[5]
