Gandersumis a small village in the region ofEast Frisia,inLower Saxony,Germany.Administratively, it is anOrtsteilof the municipality ofMoormerland.Located on the north bank of theEmsestuary, Gandersum is to the southeast ofEmdenand the west ofOldersum.It has a population of 85.
Gandersum was already mentioned in a list of possessions of theWerden Abbeyfrom 930. Here, the village is mentioned asGondrikeshem.TheChurch of Gandersumdates from the fourteenth century.[1]
