George Broussardis an Americanvideo game produceranddesigner.He is one of the creators of theDuke Nukemseries, along withTodd Replogle,Allen Blum, andScott Miller.[1]

Broussard released his early games under the name Micro F/X.[2]In 1991, Broussard partnered withScott Milleras co-owner ofApogee Software.Broussard is perhaps best known for his 12+ year development with many hurdles ofDuke Nukem Foreveras the lead project manager, before he askedGearbox Softwareto take over, which ultimately finished the project. The 3D Realms website notes that he is probably the only person in the industry to have misspelled his own name (as "Broussad" ) on asharewaretitle he created on his own,Pharaoh's Tomb.[3]

In 2013, Broussard competed in theindie gamecompetitionLudum DarewithThe Road,a side-scrolling browser game that reflects on thefutility of existence.[4]

Broussard suffered a minorstrokein May 2014 and recovered quickly.[5]
